You should take each dose with a full glass of water and swallow the capsule whole. Never crush, chew, or open the capsule. Many people will have side effects. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, and feeling dizzy or tired. Most people like to take this medicine at bedtime to reduce these effects. It can also cause a change in the way food tastes and loss of appetite. Some people will have stomach pain, constipation, or muscle pain. If these or other side effects become reasons you want to stop taking this medicine, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist. You should not stop taking it, unless your doctor says it's okay. To help keep this medicine safe for you, your doctor will follow your condition closely and will order blood tests. As with any medicine, rare but serious side effects can occur. With Zejula, this includes problems with your bone marrow, an increased risk of developing certain blood cancers, and high blood pressure. You should discuss these and all possible side effects with your doctor. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medicines. Zejula can harm unborn babies. Women must talk to their doctors about which birth control methods to use and for how long. Women should not breastfeed.
