Betamethasone Valerate foam is often applied to the affected area(s) of skin two times each day. You should use it exactly as your doctor tells you to. Be sure to wash your hands with soap and water after use. This medicine should only be used on skin that is outside of the body. So, be careful not to get it into your eyes. Most people tolerate this medicine well. Common side effects include application site irritation such as burning, itching, and stinging. This is normal if it is mild and should go away. If these or other side effects become reasons you want to stop taking this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
