Let's take a minute to talk about your medication. This is Ciprodex ear drops. It has two medicines in each dose. Ciprodex is used to help treat infections in your ear. You should use Ciprodex exactly as your doctor tells you to. Before each dose, be sure to shake the bottle well and warm the bottle in your hands for one to two minutes. To use, lie down with the affected ear facing up then add the drops. Hold this position for 1 minute. It's important to keep the tip of the bottle free from germs, so don't let it touch anything and keep the cap on between doses. You should read the 'Instructions for Use' for full information. If you still have questions, your doctor or pharmacist can help. Most people tolerate this medicine well. Common side effects include ear pain, discomfort, or itching. These effects are normal if they are mild and should go away. If these or other side effects become reasons you want to stop taking this medicine, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Make sure to finish the full course, or the infection could return and be hard to treat. As with any medicine, rare but serious side effects could occur. You should read the Patient Information Sheet to know which symptoms to watch for and when to report changes. Ciprodex may interact with other medicines. Women should check with their doctors before becoming pregnant and should not breastfeed.  For best results, use Ciprodex for as long as your doctor tells you to, even if your symptoms have improved.
