Let's take a minute to talk about your medication.  This is Xofluza, and it helps treat the flu. It can also be used to prevent you from getting the flu if you come in contact with someone who has the flu. It is important to take this medicine within 48 hours of having flu symptoms. This gives it the best chance to work.  Xofluza is taken as a one-time dose. Take your dose exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will tell you how many tablets to take based on your weight. It can be taken with or without food, but you should avoid dairy products.  Most people tolerate this medicine well. Some side effects can occur like diarrhea, nausea, or headache. It can also cause symptoms of a common cold, bronchitis, or a stuffy nose. These are normal if they are mild and should go away.  Xofluza is not effective for treating infections other than the flu. You should tell your doctor if you feel worse, if you have new symptoms after your treatment, or if your flu symptoms do not start to get better.  This medicine can react with other medicines. You should avoid over-the-counter laxatives or antacids. You should also avoid supplements containing calcium, iron, magnesium or zinc. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before getting any vaccines while taking this medicine and if you have any questions. Women should talk to their doctors if they are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding.  For best results with Xofluza, take your dose as soon as possible and read the Patient Information Sheet for more information.
