Let's take a minute to talk about your medication. This is Vyzulta. It lowers pressure inside of the eye. This makes it useful in treating conditions such as open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It may have other uses, too. Vyzulta is often given as one drop into the affected eye once daily in the evening. You should use it exactly how your doctor tells you to. Your pharmacist can teach you how to put the drop into your eye. After using Vyzulta, you should wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye medicine. Also, you should wait 15 minutes before wearing contacts. It's important to keep the tip of the bottle free from germs, so don't let it touch anything and keep the cap on between doses. Most people tolerate this medicine well. Some side effects can occur, like mild eye redness, itching or a feeling that something is in your eye. These are normal if they are mild and should not last long. With continued use, this medicine could change the color of your eyes, eyelids, or eyelashes. It could also change the way your eyelashes grow. You should talk to your doctor about what to expect, and when to report changes. If these or other side effects become reasons you want to stop taking this medicine, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist. You should call your eye doctor right away if you have any unusual changes to your eyes or eyelids. This includes redness, pain, swelling or discharge. Also, call if you notice changes to your vision, or if you are planning eye surgery. For best results with Vyzulta, do not miss any doses, and plan ahead for refills.
