Let's take a minute to talk about your medication. This is a Tudorza Pressair inhaler. Tudorza helps control symptoms of COPD. It may take several days or weeks to see the full effects. This medicine may have other uses, too. It is important to know that Tudorza is not a 'rescue inhaler'. You should NOT use it to treat sudden breathing problems. Your doctor may prescribe another medicine to use if you have sudden breathing problems. Tudorza is often inhaled two times each day. You should separate the doses by about 12 hours. You should use Tudorza exactly as your doctor tells you to. Before your first dose, you should read the full Instructions for Use. Also, it is a good idea to demonstrate a dose to your pharmacist, to make sure you are using it correctly. Most people tolerate Tudorza well. Common side effects include a headache, runny nose, sore throat or cough. These effects are normal if they are mild, and should go away. If these or other side effects become reasons you want to stop taking this medicine, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist. As with any medicine, rare but more serious side effects could occur. With Tudorza, these include an allergic reaction and new or worse problems with urination or with glaucoma. You should read the Patient Information sheet to know which symptoms to watch for, and when to report changes. You should always get medical help right away in these 3 instances: - if your breathing is worse; - if you need your rescue inhaler more often than normal; - and, if your rescue inhaler does not relieve your symptoms well. For best results with Tudorza, be sure to follow your doctor's advice about lifestyle changes to help you breathe better.
