Let's take a minute to talk about your medication.

This is Donepezil, and you can take it with or without food.  

Donepezil is used to treat symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. In some patients, it can help with mental function and doing daily tasks.  

At first, or if your doctor increases the dose, you could have mild nausea, diarrhea, less appetite, or trouble sleeping. These are normal and should go away. If these or other effects become reasons you want to stop taking this medicine, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Occasionally, serious side effects can occur, so be sure to tell your doctor right away if you have a slow heartbeat, fainting, stomach pain, problems breathing, or bowel movements that look like black tar.

Also, please check with your pharmacist before taking any non-prescription pain relievers, to make sure they are okay to take with this medicine.

For best results, continue taking Donepezil, and consider asking a friend or family member to help you determine how it is working for you.
