Bupropion comes in many forms. You were prescribed the sustained-release tablet. It is often taken two times each day, at least 8 hours apart. You should take it exactly how your doctor tells you to. Be sure to swallow your tablet whole, and do not crush, cut, or chew it. You can take your dose with or without food.  Most people tolerate this medicine well. Common side effects include nausea, dry mouth, constipation, joint pain, and a stuffy nose. You could also feel dizzy, anxious, or have trouble sleeping. You should wait until you know how it affects you before doing activities that require you to be alert, like driving. If these or other side effects become reasons you want to stop taking this medication, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist. You should not stop taking this medicine suddenly unless your doctor says it's okay.
 
 As with any medicine, rare but more serious side effects can occur. With Bupropion, this includes high blood pressure, vision problems, allergic reactions, and an increased risk of seizures. It can also cause changes in mood, behaviors, and thoughts. You should know that if thoughts of suicide, or worsening mood or behavior ever occur, you should get help right away.  Bupropion can interact with other medicines. You should always check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any other medicines, herbal remedies, or vitamins. Also, limit or do not drink alcohol.
